Chapala Mexican Grill - Morro Bay

We stopped here in a mood and the food was extraordinary. My husband wrapped shrimp in bacon. literally moaned when he ate it. Salsa is the best. I had the USA. Perfectly salty and tangy. The daughter's children with shredders were phenomenal. Sadly, I just ordered a cheese enchilada because I would certainly have eaten more. Very recommended.

Low key Mexican restaurant with good selection and good portions. Best Chips Salsa I've had for a long time. Pair of outdoor tables in the parking lot with views of Morro rocks.

An excellent, almost hidden jewel! It is directly on the service road that runs around hwy 1 and it was excellent food at very reasonable prices for the portions. The chips and salsa that are complementary when you sit, and it can sit inside or outside is made fresh. The chips are a thick style, but very crisp and satisfying. I ordered the Chile Verde Burrito and there were good two pounds. The pig was well seasoned and juicy. We also have the two taco (chicken) combo, with hot and mild salsa, it came with fried beans and rice and one side of salad and cheese. Excellent quality food, highly recommended.

We always eat the same when we go to Morro Bay. I wanted Tacos to be like that we decided to try this place. We were not disappointed at all. I ordered 2 carnitas and 1 asada taco. I should have had only two. They were loaded with meat and very tasty. The only thing is that the Asada was a little salty for me. Oh, and I was scared by another restaurant for Carnitas. I learned to ask how they were made. I prefer to be a little crispy. Here they do not serve them so, but if you ask them to make them crispy, they will do it and that is super cool. My husband ordered a Carnitas Torta with his flesh crispy. He really liked it. I have a bite and it was delicious. We also tried to be guacamole and chips. OMG!!! So good!!! We can't wait to go back. We recommend this place very much. Appropriate prices, friendly staff and very easy to find.

Service was amazing! The waiter was on point and super friendly! The food is delicious there!! You cannot go wrong with Chapala Mexican Grill! I highly recommend it!
