Carreta Vieja - Morrison

We moved from Houston, Texas 4 months ago and had the most difficult time to find good Mexican food. We live in Castle Rock work in Denver, but came out to stay for my birthday at Arrowhead B

I drove so often from this place without ever giving it a chance. My brother was in town and wanted authentic Mexican. After looking at the reviews, it was worth the chance. Boy, I'm glad. Service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and food delivered immediately. I ordered the Chimi combo plate. Very delicious and well prepared. My brother ordered a combination plate and was also satisfied. The food tasted fresh and very well seasoned. Margarita was good and well mixed. The decor cannot be worthy of restaurant chain, but somehow added to the ambience. All inclusive toilets was very clean. In my choice, it speaks of a family business that takes care of what they do. I would recommend you to leave the Denver chains and give this place an attempt. You could, like me, find a new favorite!

I had their shrimp salad and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. It took a while to cook it, but so worth the wait!

One of our favorite places to eat. Best margaritas!! I’m not sure what the one person who reviewed was talking about. This place under the new owner had the same chef. The food is FANTASTIC!! Who cares about the beans! Huge fan.

We just had the best time in Carreta Vieja!!! We were a party of 7 that came at the same time as several other tables. The owner and his sister were so friendly and so courteous. Your hospitality made our night!! We had family from WI and CA and the children wanted mexican. The food was great, but the hospitality was top notch!!! We will definitely be back
