What do you do when you move to a new city? Go out exploring! Today I visited a local coffee shop in Moreno Valley called, Café for missions. It 's a faith based non profit/ministry/coffee shop, that provides opportunities and self sufficiency programs for orphans, widows, and underprivileged communities worldwide. They currently serve 5 borders: US, Guatemala, Israel, Mexico, and Honduras as well as do mission trips. They opened their doors in 2016 and have been growing ever since. I had the opportunity to meet Damaris or D who is the founder of Café for Missions as well as her daughter Cassidy and learn more about their story. Damaris shared their coffee, pastries, and food are made in house with fresh ingredients. As she put it, it 's made with love. Since it was a hot day and with their recommendation, I tried their Rosy Refresher, made with a speciality tea blend and their Cafe Coconut flan! They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area. They have items and goods that are handmade from guatemala and proceeds from the coffeeshop benefit their ministry and mission. If you 're looking for a local coffee shop check them out! I loved this place! I was getting off of work heading home wanted to stop somewhere for a nice breakfast. Found this lil gem off of Yelp nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The warmth and friendly customer service already had me. I got this breakfast spinach wrap and a frap reese's beyond delicious! Will definitely be going back! Love how the proceeds go for a great cause!

I am so glad that I found this place! I came across them on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I drove all the way from Murrieta and let me just say it was worth it...I will definitely be coming back. I was a little nervous going in at first but I was welcomed in so kindly by Viviana. The service and food was amazing!! Everything here is made to order and tastes wonderful. I ordered the Turkey Pesto Sandwich, the Cafe Coconut Flan, Nutella Tart, Legacy Latte and the Raspberry White Mocha Latte. And all of the proceeds go toward a great cause. This place is truly a hidden gem.
