Las Mercedes - Morelia

The space here is large, so much potential. the food was perfect, but far away from the memory. the service was inconspicuous, which was particularly unpredictable, as we were one of only two tables. we were alone in a room so that no chance to catch a waiter...Auge to remind him of our forgotten beverage order and our forgotten Dessert menus. called for the bill and left immediately after the net. disappointed.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend who lives here. the best meal of our five-day trip to patzcuaro and lia. filet mignon ordered medium was served raw. lettuce was devastated and turned brown/black. pasta carbonara barely edible. beautiful waiting staff who tried., also our most expensive meal during the trip. my wife said let’s keep on “usual” food, as it’s always good. the atmosphere was unique and interesting.

When I return to lia, that's one of stops I have to do. eating is great, but the coolest part is the atmosphere. it feels so uplifted without uplifting prices.

Fabulous food, great menu, great service, stunningly beautiful. A place for parties. It is one of my favorite places in lia. I take all my friends there when we have something delightful to celebrate.

My boyfriend and I dined at La Fonda de Mercedes and we were completely impressed by the atmosphere and the dining experience. As one enters the restaurant you walk through stone columns and then into the dining areas. The ceiling of the bar is made...from olla pots. The dining areas are beautifully decorated with antique art. The staff is gracious and attentive. We found the food to be delicious and fresh! This is more of a high end restaurant however we didn't find the prices to be high end for what we ordered. I would recommend dining at La Fonda de Mercedes!!!
