Bidrage med feedbackSatisfactory, meets a need, the food is clean, quick, and uninspired. Still, for a quick taco or pita, it's one of the better bets in town. Just don't expect baklava.
I ate a great Greek lunch at Espartakos. I ordered vegetarian, of course, but my table companion had chicken. From the menu I got a Greek salad, a plate of bread with a dip, a vegetarian gyro. I did not see hummus or falafel or dolmas. (Maybe they are available if you ask? We quickly were served, despite the major lunch crowd, our iced drinks and a plate of bread with the dip. The bread was not pita but more cracker like. The dip was pleasant, not quite greek but an interesting herb blend. My salad came next. It tasted as good as it looked. Crisp leafy lettuce, seeded tomatoes and lots and lots of feta cheese. The cheese was not salty. The dressing made up for it, a good vinaigrette. I liked the black olives too. And amazing were the cucumbers. Mild, scooped and burpless. Somebody there sure knows how to make a salad. The chicken and my gyro arrived quickly. The bread for the gyro was wonderful. The mix of veggies, mushrooms and cheese (typical white melting cheese of Mexican cookery was very good. I really liked that bread. The chicken for the other diner came with a nice stack of warm tortillas. I got a 9 out of 10 score when I asked about the chicken. For me the lack of pita on the dip plate was made up for by the great bread in the gyro, raising the score back to a 9 for me as well. For sure we thought the place should be gone back to, maybe changing from chicken to beef and from a gyro to a tako arabe for me. The staff were so friendly, kept coming over to clear plates and ask what else we needed. And this when the place was opening more seating in a reserved overflow section. The place is contemporary, colorful (espc if you like blue and white and fun.
All food has a Greek twist.I love tacos al pastor. I recommend the special burger and the tacos al pastor.
A very simple place with a great variety of food. Delicious Greek food with a Very Mexican touch. Also loved the chipotle salsa. The staff is very polite and they don't take long to bring the food. Prices are quite fair (though beer could be cheaper). I go there at least once a month.
