It can take a while when busy, but the shrimp burgers and hush puppies are good!

We’re a couple of Vermonters visiting and we are beyond glad we stumbled upon Els. The staff was fantastic and the food? Let’s just say this northerner had never has a hush puppy before and I am now obsessed. Hubby loved the shrimp, so far the best food we’ve eaten in NC!!

The super size shrimp burgers with ketchup and their sweet slaw are legendary. The sea gulls appreciate some french fries. Park under the trees and soak in the sea breeze.

Been eating here my whole life and I’ve got to say that I just had the best burgers they have ever cooked for me just this week. Els just gets better with age.

Best place in Carteret County to eat. You stay in your car. Waitress comes out takes order. Then you are eating within 10-15 mins. The food is good and you got to try the shrimp burger. and
