Serendipity Cafe And - Moorpark

Very elegant for date night. But what made it an even better experience was the amazing service from out server (Kelii). He gave great suggestions and kept the good vibes going. Food was delicious and all you can drink beer for $20 was perfect.

Need to work on plate presentation. Maybe add a little veggie and less mash potatoes. Need more wall decor for added color in dining area.

That was our first time eating in serendipity. we had a reservation for 4 at 5:30. I will say that the decor on the evening's side is beautiful. the bar side has many and many tvs, but only 4 seats at the actual bar. the barkeeper had no idea about the menu or what was available in the restaurant and actually gave us absolutely false information. the drinks were just okay. we left the bar side and went to the table on the dinner side. eating was good, not great and a bit too expensive. our friends ordered sweet carrots as side with their meal and apparently used the kitchen salt instead of sugar. how this is happening? our server never came back to check us, we had to call the manager out of the whole room. they were not busy at all. in the did there were only 3 tables with diners to dinner time we share the pork, but the server said they could not share it in the kitchen. it was too hard to do for them. I could easily share it on the table myself. what the devil did they even try? our server began to delete the 3 plates while our 4th was still eating. then asked if we wanted to dessert. Come on, look at that table. someone still ate. it wasn't as if they needed the table because the long list of others waited to eat. there were now 4 filled tables. I think this place tries hard, but misses the boot I doubt we'll be back. Oh and something else! the server came to our table at exactly 18 o'clock to ask if we wanted additional drinks from the bar. when we said yes, because happy hour ends at 6, his answer was not a happy hour price that ended a minute ago....it will be full price now. that was annoying

When we came in, they didn't even know we had a reservation. was quickly corrected. our server was good. eating was good and hot. thought sides were a bit expensive.

The quality of the food is very high, yet our meals were not very flavorful. Steak sauce was not edible. Menu could be far more descriptive. Unfortunately, our wait staff was not knowledgeable. Wine list could be expanded. Out of five dinners, only the seared ahi was cooked correctly two were undercooked, one overcooked. Best item on our table was the mashed potatoes. We had to wait quite some time for one dinner so we didn't want to send back the others. Beautiful setting yet the experience and food were not worth the cost.
