Kazuya Japanese - Moorpark

One of my faves! Magic mountain roll!!! Don't think I've had a roll that was not good. Love their udon! Friendly service and chill atmosphere. Sushi bar sitting with a tv for sports. Btw- our server and I bonded over my Green Lantern shirt Kyle Rayner (if you know)

Best restaurant I've been to in Moorpark. Chloe was helpful and took her time to explain the menu to our table. Good experience overall.

Based on previous reviews, I have to believe we had an off experience at Kazuya. We showed up soon after they opened, and couldn’t ignore the smell of sewage as we sat down for lunch (we almost walked right back out). It’s quite possible this was a unique situation and possibly one beyond their control. Unfortunately, the food was average at best and the quality and freshness of fish was a bit questionable. We love going out for great sushi, and sadly this just wasn’t it for us.
