Bawarchi Indian Restaurant and Take Away

Good selection of traditional Indian food from across the regions. Quick service and good value. Was a little quiet when we dined so not a great atmosphere but the staff were friendly and the drinks well priced so we still enjoyed the night!

We were at this place for lunch a group of 4, we had burani rice, nan, veg, chicken goat also Dosa . all enjoyed, fresh food. tasy we have taken "take away' from here before very good taste and value.also had dinner all times very satisfied. we will go back. A bit quite not many patrons.

We were four adults and two children and our reactions to our experience were mixed. We opted for the banquet for the adults and ordered three specific meals for the children. One of the children meals was not prepared until after we reminded the staff. The banquet was well received by some of our party but I felt that the extra long delay between the entree and the three curries was not warranted given there were only three groups in the restaurant. The curries were mostly curry sauce, although the vegetable curry seemed to have its of vegetables. The deserts were well received by all but me given that the description did not include almond slivers and given I had earlier asked about nuts and been told there were none in that course, the question should have caused the serving person to make sure there were no nuts on my later courses or offered me an alternative. Luckily the dessert was appreciated by one of our children as I was not offered a replacement I got confirmation that there were almond slivers.

Oily, watery curries, we could hear microwave ping just before daal brought to table (which was very runny & tasteless). Naan's more like doughy pancakes & finally warm beer. No.

This Indian restaurant is improving all the time.We have been a few times for lunch and dinner and are increasingly impressed.The menu is a mixture of northern and southern style food, freshly prepared, from fresh ingredients. The chef prepares the food in just the way we like it.On Sundays a lot of people of Indian origin come for lunch which tells you how good it is.
