I would like to uncover the secret to their delicious cappuccino. The hardworking staff are up bright and early, as they are the only place open at 6:30 AM. Although the pastries were tasty, they did not quite reach the level of perfection found in French patisseries.

The aroma was delightful as we passed by, so I followed my senses and discovered, in my opinion, the best coffee in Montreal.

We stopped here while on an across Canada trip on 12th September for a evening snack after a long days travel. The square outside was undergoing extensive repairs so the entrance was a bit restricted but once inside it was a nice atmosphere, friendly, efficient employees, and excellent hot cheese sandwich and coffee. One drawback was the argument between the staff and a guy about his use of the toilet!

This neighborhood coffee shop serves coffees and pastries as you would expect. The folks that work here, especially the owner, are very friendly and welcoming. Both the coffee and the pastries are very good. We recommend getting your coffee here rather than searching for the mermaid.
