Il Galateo - Montréal

We were 12 and had not been there for years . Same staff and very interesting menu. But only one server for all of us and it was well over one hour before our meals arrived. My minestrone soup was superb and the chicken cacciatore was fall off the bones sweet and delicious. All the meals were well received. Tiramisu and Creme caramel desserts were really excellent. Parking on the street .

We went for a quiet dinner on a cold and uninviting evening. The welcome was great and although not very full ,we could hear ourselves speak,which is not possible in most places

We went to Il Galateo restaurant to have dinner during a trip in Montreal. The restaurant is clean and clam. The menu list offers several italian specialities, like pasta, italian meat, etc. The service was quite fast and we had a nice dinner.

On a chilly Saturday evening, my party was in search of some comforting food, and we found just that at this restaurant. The menu offered a variety of delicious options including pasta, risotto, and veal parmesan. Some specific highlights included a Caesar salad that tasted fresh with anchovies in the dressing and generous portions of parmesan. The veal parmesan was thinly sliced and layered with sauce and cheese, making it one of the best we've had in a while. The tiramisu was also a standout and should not be skipped. Overall, we had a lovely evening with exceptional service. This restaurant is truly a gem!

An Italian family-run small but cosy restaurant with a true Italian ambience. It is located on a small side street next to a main artery (Cote des neiges), between the Montreal University and the St-Joseph Oratory. It is within a short walk to a Metro subway station. The food at our dinner was excellent and we had great service. Lots of music and the owner may also come to sing at your table. Six of us each had a different food course and we were all more than pleased with our selection. The menu is extensive and they have a good selection of wines at very reasonable cost. All in all I will return and bring other friends to this hidden gem.
