Bidrage med feedbackWe landed in montreal unexpectedly and without concrete plans. with the city that only shakes itself by Post-COVID, it is not easy to know which restaurants are open; in the did, beaumont's sister restaurant toque! is still open, but beaumont was. we had the pleasure to manage a convenient reservation and were treated at one of the best meals we have experienced so far. the atmosphere and decor in beaumont is modern, but soft, with a lot of space and simple enough light; the love for detail is what they would expect from a restaurant that takes itself seriously, and the service was absolutely sociable and efficient (in both languages). we started with bark tars, which was excellent, although a bit more slender and oysters have been used that were perfectly served; this was followed by guinea fowl, the my partner avers is one of the best dishes they ever had, and I had the pork pliers: really wonderful, with a really unexpected twist in the dashi basic. for the side we had the beautified mushrooms (wonderful and the aubergine (less successful), and wash them all with a really fantastic bottle cavalchina amedeo. the wee was chosen by her habitable sommelier claire and was a perfect addition to eating! overall this was one of the best culinary experiences I can remember; it wasn't cheap from every stretch, but surely justifying its price point. I hope I will come back to visit sometime!
On Wednesday with my wife for the first time. we are food lovers and taste restaurants very often in montreal, St-Sauveur and tremblant. this process was one of the worst in years. nothing was really good and her sugar is just terrible. avoid them!
We had a great dinner at this restaurant. The dining room is spacious with a modern and elegant ambiance. We enjoyed the appetizers and soup, and the cannelloni for our main course. We recommend ordering sides, as the rabbit dish comes with just a small portion of squash.
We tried this new restaurant after a recommendation from our daughter and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very elegant and the service is excellent. The menu is simple yet sophisticated, featuring locally sourced ingredients. While it is on the pricey side, it is reasonable for the quality of food and service. The main dishes are served without sides, which are ordered separately. I tried the rabbit with root vegetables and mushrooms, while my wife had the sea snail appetizer followed by the Nordique prawns which were on the small side. The drinks are a bit expensive, but that is to be expected from a high-end restaurant. The venue itself is elegant and tranquil.
My friends and I visited this restaurant with high expectations due to its affiliation with the Toquee group. Unfortunately, our experience on a Sunday night did not meet our hopes. The charcuterie board and pate en croute were decent but not exceptional in quality. The main courses were served without garnishes, leading us to order additional sides. The lack of clear descriptions made it challenging to choose a side dish. One friend ordered the steak, which was served with deep fried potato sticks on top. Another friend's lamb dish was significantly undercooked, and when questioned, our waiter mentioned that the chef now decides the doneness without consulting diners. Luckily, my choice of pintade with wild mushrooms was satisfactory. However, I had to forgo the suggested sides, resulting in a request for more girolles for an additional fee. The service was somewhat strained as the waiter struggled to describe the dishes accurately. Overall, our experience was disappointing, and my friends may not be eager to revisit anytime soon.
