Bidrage med feedbackI stayed at the Hyatt upstairs and am a fan of Indian food, which I can only have if non-greasy and non-starchy. The food court has plenty of healthy options, and Tikka (the Indian fast food joint) was so good that I ate there three times. The spinach was excellent, and the lamb and chicken tikka (grilled, not in curry), too. The cauliflower was very good and also the salads. I didn't have naan or rice, but my parents who did liked them. I did not care for the curried meats or chicken because they were either too sweet or not flavorful enough, but the spinach and the grilled meats were excellent. They were also very light, and I didn't end up with an upset stomach after (something fairly frequent for Indian restaurants in the u.s)
It is necessary to make a detour to eat in this food fair that dates and that would need renose, but that is where we find plenty of independent restaurants that this Indian offers a good food at a ridiculous price.
The location is a bit off the beaten path so you need to make a bit of an effort to get off the street, up the escalator and halfway down an open floor that gas been in renovation for the he past several years. But it's worth it. You will find mostly students and local business people in-the-know that seek tasty fast food at a moderate price. Poulet Tikka is one of a handful of independent concessions that offer up a great variety of Asian foods. If only these place had more visibility.I usually GI for the tandoori chicken with steamed vegetables and buttered naan. I get my Indian cuisine fix and go about my merry way.
Whenever I'm in the area, I love to pop by for the lamb tikka or mixed salad with mint or garlic sauce. Very friendly service and super fresh nan. Prices are very inexpensive, too and everything is ready quickly. It's been one of my favourite Indian places for almost 20 years, especially for takeout or a quick bite.
I have been going to this fast-food restaurant in the Faubourg Ste-Catherine about once per week for years and years. Their food has a special taste which I have never grown tired of, and is better than many sit-down Indian restaurants. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
