Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is one of the most unique spots near Ottawa. Take a pleasant Sunday morning drive and head to Eastern Ontario for a delicious lunch. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the restaurant has a lot of charm. I'm not sure about their current reservation policy, so I recommend giving them a call to secure a table. It would be a shame to arrive and find out they're fully booked. Last time I checked, they only serve lunch on Sundays.
For a brunch with my wife, son and daughter in law and restaurant met and surpassed any expectation. a warm, friendly restaurant and the menu changes every Sunday so that it makes the dinge an adventure. although a bit expensive it is worth every penny.
The most amazing eating in the most amazing environment! the pavillon has a wonderful, rustic charm and a come as they are keeping, but eating is as incredible as anyone they are in the most beautiful white glove restaurant. chef matthew uses meat and products on the farm...with love and carefree of the peculiars, ian suzanne (which is a charming and welcoming couple,) and creates some of the best food I have ever eaten and my partner is a fantastic cook in his own right so that there is a lot to say. I cannot recommend this place go! as soon as they can. they will not regret it and they will have the peace of understanding that they support their local farmers at the same time, that is a victorious!
We dined at the restaurant with a group of 16 and everyone enjoyed their lunch. We had three options for appetizers and I chose the tomato salad. I didn't taste the basil that was supposed to be in it, and I felt the dressing could use a bit more flavor. My partner had the foie gras and it was delicious. The compote that came with it was heavenly. The other option was a soup. For our main courses, we both ordered the duck confit and it was incredibly tender with a crispy skin. The other options included a pasta dish with meat and a pork chop, all of which were enjoyed by everyone. For dessert, we had a cheese plate and a sorbet with ice cream, both of which were tasty. They also offered coffee and tea. Another plus was that you could bring your own wine. The service was excellent and friendly. In total, we paid $45.00 each, including tax and tip.
We came for Father's Day lunch and once again, Ian and Suzanne made us feel like valued guests. It's clear that they are passionate about what they do, as are their staff. The food was exceptional, from the wood-fired duck confit to the homemade pasta with lamb, and rabbit-stuffed rondelles with vegetables. Each dish was bursting with flavor and left us feeling incredibly satisfied. The asparagus soup with smoked salmon was a highlight, and the pannacotta was simply heavenly. The atmosphere was perfect - thank you for sharing your space with us. We will definitely make the drive to visit again.
