Le Smoking BBQ - Montréal

My kid google-searched for BBQ when we were hungry in Montreal, so hopped on the train and went over. I got the pulled chicken sandwich, and he got the pork ribs poutine. Big hit! I was a little nervous about the poutine but everyone said...it was a must-get when in Montreal. It was much better than I imagined and with the quality BBQ ribs on it, it could not have been much better. It seems that they also run a food truck so if you don't make it to the shop, maybe look up where they are parked.

Came here one-night craving ribs and poutine, I was not disappointed! Had great food and everything came steaming hot from being freshly made, the only disappointing thing is that they run out of things sometimes sadly, but that just means I have a reason to...come back!

I'm not sure how anyone could not like the poutine from Le Smoking BBQ. My wife and I were hungry as strolled down Ste Catherine Street so we decided to try some poutine. There was no decision to make with regard to what version we...would get. As soon as saw pulled pork poutine I knew that was the one. Other than being a little on the pricey side, this poutine was fantastic!! I like the smokey flavor and there was the perfect amount of cheese. The fries were nice and thin, just the way I like them. My wife is not a big fan of poutine but she thought it was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend Le Smoking BBQ if you're in the neighborhood.

We went to the poutinefest at specifically for Le Smoking. We wanted a rib poutine. We ended up getting the rib/pulled pork poutine. They charged us an exorbitant for a tiny poutine. I would have been ok paying the had the poutine...been remotely eadible but unfortunately it was the sorriest excuse for a poutine and BBQ food I've ever had. The meat was in ineadible dry and hard like a rock because of the sugar. I had to spit it out in a napkin because I would have needed shark teeth to chew it. There were like COLD cheese curds in there and the fries were old and cold (hard to achieve when it's degrees C outside And the gravy...oh the gravy. It was like dirty dishwater. The whole dish was screaming for salt and flavor. Never again will I eat the smoking and neither should you.

I was disappointed with my dining experience at this restaurant. The food had a strong smokey flavor that left a strange aftertaste. Despite the positive reviews I had heard, I left feeling hungry and unsatisfied.
