Le Cactus - Montréal

Margaritas-yummy. Fajitas - yummy. Enchilada -yummy. Service - fine. Average prices. Typical Mexican decor inside , patio outside. Patio was full.

Last evening I had the pleasure of dining in this quaint little restaurant. I must add that there's also a terrace outside which was too crowded and noisy for me. The decor is authentic as well as the music. Cocktails were spot on. We chose nachos for an appetizer,above average as they were not salty. As my daughter is vegan she chose the vegetarian pulled pork tacos, tasted just like real pulled pork. Presentation original on a long bread board. I chose a shrimp dish which came with rice, salsa and a little green sauce with a basket of warm tortillas. I made my own tacos. Never tasted anything like this before. Service was excellent. Menu is small but it seems that what is on the menu is well prepared. Table next to us had ceviche and really seemed to enjoy it. I know that cactus will be my go to place when I feel like Mexican food. By the way they do have a cactus taco!!

Great place to go have few drinks, and dance to latin music, salsa bachata, meringue and more. There is also short dance show. I would definitely be back when I am in Montreal again.

Was in town for a conference and stumbled into this place with a group of 8 gals from my industry. Great food, delicious drinks and friendly staff. Only downside was a kitchen staffer repeatedly made an sexually obscene gesture in reference to me - not sure where he thought that would get him. Otherwise, I recommend this place since everyone else was lovely.

We went for a mid-afternoon drink on a baking hot July day. The drinks were good and iced water was plentiful and complimentary. The service was good and our waiter was a nice guy.The awning outside the bar does little to protect customers from the sun. The most bizarre thing is that the benches are covered in AstroTurf which isn't tremendously comfortable.
