La Taqueria Mexicaine - Montréal

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and I have to say that the standard and quality have continued to be the same over the years. I love the sauces for the chips and my favourites has always been the chicken Burrito or chicken enchilada!

The food is fresh and delicious! I promise you: the best mexican food in Montreal! The place is very cute and perfect for any occasion

I found this place walking by. It was cute inside and had a walk up counter to order, then they bring you the food. My Chicken Quesadilla was full of big chunks of chicken and fresh ingredients. The owner walked me over to the salsa bar and gave me an introduction. It had red and green freshly made salsas, in mild and hot, plus a pickled jalapeños, carrots, and onion mixture, and a tub of super fresh cilantro sprigs. Everything was delicious! My Quesadilla came with rice and a green salad which was also very good. I also liked that they had 2 pitchers of ice water which was nice after the hot salsa. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Good reviews brought us here and we had a pleasant dining experience as well. The decor was lively and colorful. The lady at the counter was friendly, helpful and efficient. The service was quick. The chef was cheerful. They had a sidebar of delicious sauces. The food was fresh and tasty. I took one star off only because there was no fish on the menu.

This place has decent food. If you live in the NYC area, it will remind you of Benny's Burritos. The food comes out very quickly, and is fresh, but there really isn't anything "stand out" here. The hot sauce bar is good, but you have to buy chips, or get them as a side with your meal. The guac is okay...I've had better, and I've had worse. The margarita that I ordered was disgusting...sickenly sweet with no tequilla. As a quick lunch spot, this place is great....fast, fresh and reasonably priced. As a family dinner spot, it was sort of a let down. If you're used to really good Mexican, you won't be disappointed, but you also won't rank this place anywhere near the top. Just my humble opinion.
