Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I feel that a rating of 3 is too high, but a 2 is too low. I would give it a 2.5. There is nothing particularly disappointing or memorable about the experience. The main issue for me is that as a Japanese "a la carte" restaurant, I expect a higher level of atmosphere and quality. The presentation of the dishes is adequate, but the overall quality falls short of expectations. The food is not significantly better than many other all-you-can-eat places, so diners may be disappointed if they are seeking a higher quality dining experience. The sashimi plate was especially underwhelming, with very small slices of salmon that seemed more suitable for sandwiches than a sashimi dish. The staff, however, was friendly and efficient in their service.
At first glance, this restaurant may not seem like much from the outside, but the food we sampled was actually quite delicious. I would consider returning in the future.
My colleague and I decided to try a new restaurant close to our office in Montreal. Kodimoto is not an all-you-can-eat place like our usual spot, but we were more than satisfied with our experience. The service was excellent and the decor was impressive. Parking could be a bit of a challenge, but we were able to find a spot on the street. We opted for the 30-piece lunch for two, which included miso soup (salad may have been an option, but I can't recall). I enjoyed the soup. The chef selected four regular pieces of sushi and the rest were rolls. One of the rolls was exceptional, while the others were good (it may have been even better if I didn't have to restrict the chef due to my milk cheese allergy). Overall, it was a pleasant lunch.
I had bought a groupon for 2 for a 4 service meal with a retail worth of $86.50 for only $38.25 the restaurant is tiny, so I suggest that they make a reservation. when we arrived, the place was quite crowded. After our waitress explained how our groupon works and about her special menu, my wife started with miso suppe with tofu and shitaake mushrooms while I decided for her salat. both were very good. next came one of the best pork and veggy spring rollers (3) we have ever cost. I ordered her chicken bites, small pieces of chickens in panko coated and perfectly roasted. we would have stopped here technically. our last dish consisted of dragon’s eye (8), tempura ebi (shrimp) maki (5) and a selection of 2 special roles (6) from a selection of 5 different roles. everything sounded delicious! everything was very good. we even had some sushi left. for dessert we chose their tempura banane, 2 beautiful pieces of perfectly fried bananen. our other option was green tea eis. they also have a small bar area with 7 chairs and a very nice bar. our only complaining could have been the time it was enjoying between the rough, but at this point the restaurant was full!
Kodimoto is my favorite restaurant in Montréal! The food is always fresh, healthy, and to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They deliver and you can also go and pick up your food! I would suggest the heartbreaker, kodimon, Mount Kodi(AMAZING seaweed salad, spring rolls and the ebi tempura...and spicy tuna makis. Their selection of wine is great too. I can't wait to go back to Montréal JUST for that! The service is always on point, waitresses are very attentive and friendly, and the kitchen is extremly careful and perfectionist with the orders. You WON'T be disappointed!
