Bidrage med feedbackMy boyfriend and I were in the mood for waffles and had heard about this place. We decided to order a plate to share, which included 4 different types of waffles, both sweet and savory, along with a choice of coffee/tea and a freshly squeezed juice (orange or a special one). We particularly enjoyed the savory waffle with ham and cheese, but were disappointed to find that the gauffre liegeoise was dry from being cooked for too long, and one of the two bruxelloise gauffre tasted burnt. On a positive note, we did have the opportunity to sample a new type of waffle that they were testing, and the staff was very friendly. I'm not sure if I would return to this restaurant in the future.
My experience at this restaurant for brunch on a Sunday in Montreal was excellent. The brunch menu had many delicious options, all very nicely presented and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back again. The service was very friendly, and the decor was simple yet charmingly quirky.
What a gem of a restaurant! The unique waffles were so delicious you must try the savory waffles. We had the plate of four waffles with the chef's selections and we enjoyed every bite. It is a smaller restaurant, but the atmosphere and decor is lovely.
Yes, my boyfriend describes the waffles at Engaufrez-vous as delightful. We have often come across waffles that are overly sweetened, whether they are meant to be sweet or savory. Many times, sweet waffles are drowned in store-bought whipped cream and cheap chocolate sauce meant for decoration, not for pouring over. However, at Engaufrez-vous, they serve homemade jam, fresh seasonal fruits, and homemade sauces with their waffles. Most importantly, none of their waffles are excessively sweet. This is the best waffle place outside of Europe!
Be prepared for a wait but it was worth it the freshness of the waffle with ham and cheese was amazing. I thought the chocolate and apple waffle was ok not my favorite. The fresh fruit juice was very good.
