Casse Croute Soleil de Saigon

I have visited Soleil de Saigon Express multiple times. There is one location in the tunnel connecting Eaton Centre Mall to Place Ville Marie Mall, and a newer location in the food court at Place Montreal Mall. My favorite items are the BM11 Chef's Special Banh Mi Sandwich, #2 Pho Bo Dac Biet (Tonkinese Soup with Beef Special), and #14 Bun Bo Nuong Chagio (Vermicelli Imperial Roll with Grilled Beef). Other dishes I have tried include #8 Mi Hoanh Thanh (Wonton Noodle with Shrimp) and #10 Coconut Milk Red Curry Soup with Vermicelli Fish. Everything I tried was delicious and the customer service was excellent. I would rate it 4/5 only because the coconut milk curry soup was a bit too seasoned for my taste (even though I asked for it that way) and the wonton soup was a bit salty, possibly due to them closing soon. Overall, I would still recommend dining here for the great service and authentic cuisine, despite being located in a shopping center.

I had high hopes for this restaurant... It has a genuine look and smell, with interesting items on the menu. I ordered the number 2 Pho Special Beef, but was disappointed to receive a small bowl instead of a large one. The herbs were already in the bowl, with no lime in sight, and the soup was served in a plastic container. The soup was tasty and had a variety of beef cuts, but the portion size was lacking for the price. I didn't try the Banh Mi sandwiches, but they offer six different varieties which I plan to try next time as they appear to be a good size.

I had dinner here with my husband and father-in-law The food was good overall, but service was really slow.

I'll start with the positive- generous portions, a succinct menu with varied options and courteous wait staff.

Food was great! Love the sandwich! Delicious!! However bubble tea was not the best ever but maybe it was just the coconut flavor one. Would definitely order from here again!!
