Bidrage med feedbackSome of my favourite sushi in Montreal. The quality is on par with restaurants that charge 2x more and the portions are generous - don't worry about leaving hungry! Food is always fresh and I have never been disappointed with an order. Cozy ambiance although if you are in the mood for a fine dining experience look elsewhere. I have been with friends, boyfriend, and family and all have greatly enjoyed. 4 stars only because service is friendly but very slow! Highly recommend reservations for peak hours/weekends.
I've eaten at Furusato several times over the last 6-7 years and always have been satisfied. This place is run by Japanese, and serves the typical sushi and sashimi. What is more interesting, however is the other dishes. If you are looking for some comfort food, this is the place to go!Reservation recommended for dinner. We reserved right when they opened for the evening and they only had space for 2 walk-ins. Around 5 couples were turned away after that!Another tip: Try some of the appetizers and entrees, and if you feel like it won't be enough, get an order of makis to fill you up.
This cozy restaurant offers a very reasonable lunch. I enjoyed the Udon and my daughter had the Maki sushi special. The food is pretty simple but fresh. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here--there are much better sushi restaurants in Montreal. But it's good comfort food at a good price. The day we were there--at the height of lunch--service was glacial.
