Bidrage med feedbackSomething called a Hummus Bar definitely caught my attention.
We recently went to Birona Hummus Bar. As the name implies, this is where you will find authentically delicious hummus, probably a family secret. The staff are all very friendly. We were seated at a table that we shared with 3 other couples. After looking over their menu, my wife ordered the 'Le Jerusalem $13.50'. It consisted of a large soup sized plate of hummus along the outside, with Tahini sauce in the middle and only 3 small falafel balls and some very spicy sauce. It was accompanied by some delicious pita bread, which I was told is baked locally. My wife's only complaint was that the falafel balls were on the small side and were undercooked, making the inside very pasty. We have tasted much better.I ordered the 'Le Morocain $15.00'. Once again my plate had Hummus around the outside with ground beef, almonds, cinnamon and a sweet spicy touch on the inside. It was very flavorful but a bit short on the meat ratio to the hummus, which is served in very large portions. This is a nice small quaint restaurant on the strip that has been open for about 10 months. If you pass by, give them a try. Bring a friend to share. Enjoy!
I'm glad I discovered that place, will definitely go back several times. My partner and I shared 2 hummus platters and a falafel sandwich. The waitress advised it was a good idea for 2 people to order 3 dishes to share but it was too much. The 2 hummus bowls would have been sufficient. We tried the lebanese and the shasouka hummus bowls, both very good. The falafel sandwich was ok, but not as much as the hummus dishes. Food was tasty and freshly made. I liked they only serve wine and beers from Quebec. The decor is also very nice.
I’ve recently been in Israel and i can tell you that Birona as The best hummous as good as in the middle east!! The ambiance is cozy and very welcoming plus the chef is super friendly! I definitely recommend it
