Arepera - Montréal

I made a fantastic discovery at this restaurant! The arepa sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I had the beef with plantains, and it was amazing! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the prices were very reasonable. The only minor drawback was that the lighting inside was a bit dim.

This restaurant offers some of the finest South American cuisine I've ever experienced. The empanadas are perfectly crispy and delicious, while the arepa sandwiches, especially the chicken one, are bursting with flavor. I enjoyed the sauces so much that I couldn't resist buying a bottle of each to take home—they're just that fantastic! Plus, the entire menu is gluten-free, making it a great choice for those with celiac disease.

We had a fantastic lunch after a 3-hour scooter tour. We started with plantains as an appetizer, which were delicious. For our main courses, we ordered a chicken arepa topped with feta cheese and avocado, as well as a beef arepa filled with black beans, cheese, and plantains. Both were incredible! We also enjoyed refreshing juices with our meal—sugar cane with lime and soursop.

We ate dinner in this restaurant on two consecutive nights. Very good dishes and excellent value for money. Nice and friendly staff. We had a great time!

My husband said he would give the food here 10 out of 5 stars. We had some bean and cheese empanadas, some plantains and pork and avocado arepas. All were so delicious and the server was was friendly and quick. The restaurant atmosphere was vibrant and I really enjoyed my “Mango Loco” cocktail which was mango juice and rum with a spicy, salt rim on the glass.
