Bidrage med feedbackMost things are vegan. A few things have eggs. The food was really good. It looks like a store from the street. Wish I had more room in my belly
I almost didn't try this place after reading the previous negative review, but I'm glad I did. I don't speak any Spanish and the lady working there didn't speak English, but she was friendly enough. The food was typical of any vegetarian Chinese buffet. As others have said, it is quite oily and is certainly not the most healthy option, but sometimes I feel like eating oily food; it's not a crime. If you have visited similar places in other countries, it may seem a little expensive... but by Montevideo standards it's quite reasonably priced. I paid 205 pesos for a modestly sized plateful. My only negative point is that the food is not continually heated; they have a microwave there for re-heating if you want to.
I 'm really surprised that the name of this restaurant (Vida Sana) translates in English as healthy life. I found that to be not true. After reading the other reviews, I would not have gone here, but it was the only place that was actually open on Sunday. I believe that every single item on the food bar had been fried. There were no raw vegetable items to make a salad; it was simply a bunch of food that appeared to be fried and/or oily. I just took a medium sized plate (not a dinner-sized plate, mind you), put on a few items to hold me over until dinner, and they charged me 145 pesos. I 've been to two other buffets like this one in Montevideo, and gotten more food, better food, for less. If I were faced with this being the only place open on Sunday, I will go to a super market and put together a meal. I have very rarely given out a 2-cow review, but this one is warranted.
I lived in shanghai for 4 years and I missed Chinese food soou badly. this place was great! very authentic, to the back room of what probably yells at her family in mandarin. I got definitiw my repair of Chinese food, although they weren't dumpling when I went to a little later on the afternoon (about 14h), which I was definitiw about haha disappointed. I am back for the dumplings. great selection of tofu dishes, many dishes with sweet, baozi and rolls to her heart content. the load itself is also beautiful and has a large selection of smokers, tee and dried crumbs. they pay weight to eat what they want. the only part is that the vegan options are not marked, but honestly most veggie Chinese food is vegan, the only thing I saw there that had eggs was the fried rice. I asked her about it, but she was pretty busy and just let me hang there after I only showed a few things. but I know enough about Chinese food to know that I'm pretty sure that's the only problem to eat. chinese do not really use dinge like milk in their eating so they are safe unless they see eier. I will point out that I overheard another customer asking for gluten-free, and she answered that they have nothing. while I'm not sure if I totally believe that, be aware that almost everything has so much in it. if you are gf, it is not the place for you. If you want to eat gluten and eat a hearty Chinese lunch, they will definitely come!
They have a buffet with several vegan options, from gyozas, tofu, seitan, soya, empanadas, rice, noodles and vegetables to the wok and much more! They also have several options to buy and cook yourself, such as tofu, kimchi, rice noodles, instant ramen and sauces and different seasons. everything they do is very rich and prices are quite cheap compared to other places.
