Candybar - Montevideo

Found this wonderful place by accident. Great food, great wine and great service. Highly recommend.

Portions can be improved, prices are high for the quantity they give.

This little place feels like it should be in Paris! Cute CAFE with really tasty food and a nice atmosphere. When we first arrived the staff were not that friendly but we made friends throughout the evening. It was a lovely place to stop for food and I can highly recommend the potato tortilla.

Second restaurante experience in Montevideo and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. It's a small place a short walk from the main road. From afar it looks like a random eatery on a random corner, but man the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect! I ate the incredible home-made chorizo tortilla and the secreto de cerdo, cooked to perfection. No pictures this time..I was focused on eating! Even the olives you get, before dinner arrives at your table, are special. Never had olives in oil with cumin before. It was definitely a hit for me. Lonely Planet had it right this time! A must-visit in Montevideo!
