Da Vittorio - MONTESILVANO

Quite difficult to find and small car park. Great service and wine was delicious. Really nice food and would def recommend! Tiramisu not big enough to share! And we couldn't pay with credit card as phone service is poor.

We went to Da Vittorio on the recommendation of our B+B owner. They said we should try the local dish Arrosticini. When we eventually found the restaurant (it is in a sleepy hillside hamlet and does not look like a restaurant from the outside). We went in to find at first some canteen style tables and chairs. After being seated at one of these the owner then beckoned to us to follow him into a vast alpine style dining room which has amazing views over the surrounding countryside. We assumed there would be a normal menu with choices but it soon became clear that the only choice was antipasti followed by as many lamb skewers (Arrosticini) as you think you would like to share. The antipasti was OK, the cured meats were very good but the olives and picked vegetable were mediocre. The lamb skewers were however delicious and we ended up ordering more. Wine choice is also limited red or white. The red was OK, the white disappointing. Would I go back? Yes, with a group. The big room we were in soon filled up with large family groups and the atmosphere was great, very noisy and busy but fun. Worth a visit if you want to try something different. Oh, cash only by the way, so be prepared.

This place is absolutely amazing. Just the food, it doesn't really look like much on the outside or inside. I could seriously eat their for hours and still be sad after leaving cause I feel like I haven't had enough. The meat is awesome and I loved the selfmade olive oil as well. Wine was perfect as well. We were recommended to this place and took a taxi from our hotel in Montesilvano, Should have been only a 15 minute car ride. One hour later we still hadn't found it though. Finally arrived it was a great experience. After we had paid we ordered a taxi to pick us up but it never showed. The owner was really nice and actually drove us back to our hotel!
