Gene's Stop And Go - Montesano

Five stars for this one. Gene's has been around since I was a little girl and I will always be hooked on their food. During covid it was very difficult to order our normal items as they were constantly out of specific things for what seemed like months at one time. Their dole whips are amazing and a family favorite. If you haven't tried make sure you do at some point. My children have always loved Gene's, just as I did when younger. The items can get spendy but I know that to be the case everywhere nowadays. It's worth it when the food is made so well and tastes so good!

After so many good reviews I decided to give Gene's a try. Very busy Saturday. I waited 30 minutes for my bacon cheeseburger and tots. I did notice alot of people had called their orders ahead which is probably why mine took so long. (I will remember to do this myself next time Price point wasn't too bad 13 bucks. I just wasn't a fan of my burger. It was very salty. Good portion size though. I wouldn't have been able to eat the whole thing if I tried. I'm sure I'll give this place another chance at another time :

Don't even ask for a pink patty as they refuse to cook them any other way than well, well done. Prices are pretty steep. I don't stop there any more. Seems like people in the area are easily placated when it comes to a burger.

Gene's Stop and Go is the best place for burgers, fries and ice cream. They even have Dole Whip my favorite. Not only is the food great but they are a positive part of the community with games for the kids to check out and even a place to put air in your bike tires. No place beats Gene's. Be sure to stop there. It is not just good food, but an experience. By the way, the servers are super nice!

We don't head into the harbor ofter but when we do we always try to stop and get shake for the kids. Then we go to the beach.... See what I did there we STOP and then GO??? To top it off typically we wait JEANS But let's be honest the owners of this place have been friends of ours for years, they even attended our wedding. Its easy for us to recommend them not just because they serve good food but because they are good people. SO if you want to eat good food and support small town business stop here and treat yourself.
