Ghirardelli Ice Cream Chocolate Shop

I really enjoyed this restaurant. My husband and I visited while we were at Cannery Row, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. I ordered the Treasure Island, which is a warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, almonds, and a cherry. My husband chose the frozen hot chocolate; he thought it was great and not too sweet. The restaurant was clean, had an outdoor seating area, and the staff were very friendly.

The restaurant offers a delightful variety of candies, perfect for gift-giving. In addition, you can order ice cream sundaes and smoothies. Take a moment to relish the seating area located at the back of the store, which provides lovely views of the beach and bay.

The ice cream was absolutely delicious and quite reasonably priced. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a great touch. They also have shakes and coffee available.

I was here 16 years ago when we lived at Fort Ord for DLI. We just brought the 16 year old who was born here back to his birthplace. This little shop is still here and open! I was thrilled! The place looks and smells just like I remember it and reminds me of the treats I would have while he slept in his stroller. The choices have expanded of course, but nothing else has changed. Wonderful treats a great way to satisfy a chocolate fix. We ended up spending way more than planned. And the salted carmel banana shake was amazing!
