They usually buy the mantau, sponge cake, Chinese donut, sesame balls and the sesame flat Chinese donut there. mantau is a simple steamed brot. they come in white or white. love them both. they are moist and well freeze. Just make sure to steam the frozen when they want to eat them. rehydrates them beautifully. the sponge cake is very eggy, so if they like the strong odor of flattened eggs in their sponge cake, they will love them! these cakes come simply and without decorations. they don't need one, they come in two sizes. I always get the bigger cake. I can't get enough of them and you're good to share. Otherwise I'll eat all the smaller ones. the Chinese donut is the long roasted salty donut. the inner pockets are ideal for filling with rice or coffee with condensed milk or condensed milk itself. in rice it becomes a drain and gives the smooth and tasty porridge texture. yum! this donut must be eaten on the same day or it is not great on the second day. because it is fried, the donut will be hard and oily on the second day. can be baked and then eat with a porridge, but not so good on the second day. the chewiness is gone. the sesamball came in two taste directions: red buoyant filling black sesame on the outside) or mung buoyant filling white sesame on the outside). both are delicious. wrap is a reisteig similar in the texture to mochi. the flat Sesame Chinese donut is a sweet fried teig. that must also be eaten on the same day. very delicate with a light sweet to teig. large eaten alone or with a cup coffee with condensed milk. yum! Today I wrapped the pork and the sweet rice with pork in bamboo leaves. that wasn't bad. the pork bao has only season pork and swirl in it. in the rule there is half a egg, a piece of black Chinese mushroom, Chinese sausage slice and the spiced ground swarm. this had not the egg, the black Chinese mushroom or the Chinese sausage slice. pork was seasoned with salt and pepper. the teig part was fluffy. they can be frozen and damped before eating. also the wrapped sweet rice and the filling were good. the fat black in the sweet rice made the rice tasteful. also has a piece of Chinese sausage and a salted egg yolk in it. salted eigelb is one of my favorite! they do not keep in such a way that they have to be eaten immediately or at least two days are cooled and steamed before eating. keeping them longer leads to the risk that they will go badly. this bakery also sells great filled sweet rolls. they have lotus seed, taro or mung bud paste in the rolls. large on the purchased day or they can be frozen and damped before consumption.
Flower sponge my favorite. it's like scarlet food cake with less sugar. the so soft sponge and damp sponge cake has hooked my family as their favorite breakfast or at any time snack. it's fresh day.
Nice parking lot. Was closed earlier and my mother loves to buy plain steamed dumplings from them. Now it’s open again! Got dumplings, 油条, 咸煎饼 。 Frankly, the quality is so so. Rather popular place though. So, I guess some of the items that I have bot tried are probably good
Let me say this first. I always support local businesses over chain corporate restaurants. This bakery was a little bit of disappointment. The Chin Toy was so greasy that when you took a bite the oil was coming out a lot. Was not very crispy though fried. The bao was not good. The dough was too sweet and the filling hard ball of meat. In addition, better presentation of goods can take you far. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.
It's the second time now. When I bought the cake by the slice, they are dried, which means they cut overnight cakes to sell by the slice. Only buy their cakes whole and not by the slice. I wish they will not sell day old cakes. When they are fresh, they taste great.
