Bidrage med feedbackThe service was really bad. I couldn't get enough to eat. A group of people walked in and chatted about their own affairs. No one gave me a menu. They didn't tell me how long they should wait. There was no sugar in the soy milk.
Made me feel like I was back in a no-fuss breakfast joint in Northern China. Food was not spectacular, but stalwartly solid, well-priced for this day and age, and well-portioned. It's hard to find an authentic Tianjinese spot in LA, so this is a necessary shop in LA for those who are nostalgic or curious about Tianjin breakfast dishes. Thick 油条, well-flavored 豆腐脑. Service is blunt in typical Chinese style and is not patient, but this place will not steal money from you like a certain cashier does from KangKang Food Court.
This either proves that Google reviews of SGV Chinese restaurants are not dependable, or demonstrates that the standard is much higher in this area. Easily 5 star flavors among Chinese restaurants in this country, with many Chinese people saying this would be considered very decent even in China.
Chinese style, authentic taste, warm service, delicious buns, recommended
After being away from my motherland for 3 months, I couldn't help laughing when I thought of Chinese breakfast. So I searched for Chinese breakfast and ordered tofu, soy milk, fried dough sticks, pancakes and fruit. The tofu had a smooth texture and was very tender, but the taste was average. The fried dough sticks are golden and crispy, but there is no hint of fried aroma, which is not comparable to that in China. The soy milk only has a beany smell, without any fragrance and makes people salivate after drinking it. It is too ordinary. The pancake fruit has no taste except greasy. It’s a place that’s amazing and memorable, but a huge disappointment. It’s not recommended for friends who have expectations and ideas for improvement to come and taste it.
