Osteria Pit Stop - MONTEPULCIANO

When on a Road Trip we are at the mercy of guest reviews to sort out the Good from the Great in restaurants and thanks to the reviews we found here is a really really good one. Christine the waitress has perfect English and is a realy nice lady, the choice of food on the menu is very good and when it arrives to your tables you will not be disappointed, this is a Local Restaurant not to be missed if you are in the area.

We have stopped at Pit Stop for years on our visits to Tuscany. Great spot for lunch and menu is full of great local favorites. Service is good and they enjoy a good “locals” business, a good sign for quality.

We went for lunch today and had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, homemade pici with beef ragout, and shared a grilled beef (or maybe veal) filet. All the food was excellent. The filet was the highlight of the meal tender, lean, perfectly grilled. To finish we had a crostata with forest fruit and coffee. All that (plus a tea, a glass of wine, and a side of vegetables) for 48 eur. Highly recommend.

We saw this place , by accident, 3 years ago driving to Montepulciano. The food and service are excellent . The location has a panoramic view of Tuscany. The menu offers you many things for a very low price. The place is family owned and they are very courteous and friendly like typical Tuscans. We were going there almost everyday and we can’t wait to return next year. The freshest food around.
