L'and Vineyards - Montemor-o-Novo

Brilliant stay at L'and Vineyards last week couldn't fault a thing. The suite was spotlessly clean, spa area was incredibly relaxing and the complimentary local cheese, meat and wine brought to the room was a great touch. The highlight for us, however, was the tasting menu and wine pairing in the restaurant. We were lucky enough to be among the first guests to sample the new menu and were thoroughly impressed. Particular mention has to be given to waiter Hugo and sommelier Adriano, who could not do enough for us they were both extremely knowledgeable and made our evening extra special. We already can't wait to return!

Estar no L’ And Vineyards foi uma experiência maravilhosa. O staff super simpático e eficiente. Surpreendeu-nos os mimos feitos especialmente para nós na chegada que chegou a emocionar-nos. O destaque especial fica para a tertúlia oferecida aos clientes com os bons vinhos da casa e os petiscos típicos do Alentejo. Acordar cada manhã e saber que temos a nossa espera o melhor doce de abóbora e ovos beneditinos é o diferencial em Terras Lusas. Recomendo e espero voltar com tempo para desfrutar das muitas aventuras que o L’And tem para seus clientes. Gratidão!!!

To start with, we were here for a weekend in the Portuguese winter (outside <15 degrees). Many Portuguese hotels are technically set up for summer. The air conditioning in the room heats, but the room temperature is still not pleasant. This was also the case in all public areas of the hotel. The bar was cold and so were some other areas. There is considerable mould on the ceiling of the indoor pool and the sauna is also getting on in years, like everything else here. Both the rooms and the outside areas of the suites need a contemporary makeover. The staff are professional but the warmth is unfortunately lacking. We went to the restaurant for dinner one evening. Unfortunately, we didn 't like it at all. In our opinion, the dishes were totally overpriced , very small portions and lacked that certain something . Vegans and vegetarians unfortunately have virtually not a common choice. The wines are excellent. Just like the breakfast. All in all we would recommend to go in summer and enjoy the nice outside places.

The staff are all friendly. The wine is great and enjoyable. Areas of concern:. It was difficult to understand how the shower faucet worked and it took me a while to figure it out.(Nozzle tilted backwards at a 45° angle for water discharge) The water features in the hotel and pool are noticeably outdated. The lighting in the restrooms of the villas is dark, making it difficult to apply makeup. The pool and sauna floors are very slippery. Many blonde hairs were floating around while swimming and I caught them between my fingers twice.
