Pizza Dal Pazzo - Montecatini-terme

Our tour arrived late and we quickly searched for a quick bite. There were a few tables open so we quickly sat and were served promptly. The friendly and endearing owner did not speak much English so we eventually ordered with our broken Italian. It was fabulous! He suggested a few nice bottles of wine and a good Italian beer to accompany our pizzas. This was authentic and one of the best pizzas we found on our two weeks in Italy! I believe Montecatini is not prepared to host large tour groups with the lack of restaurants and sad hotel options, nor is the community welcoming. (We had a group of teenage boys next to us who were rude). This is not reflection on Pizza Dal Pazzo. If he had a larger restaurant, he would be full! But, being small has it perks and we were happy to have experienced it.

After a day of driving through chianti and wine tasting, we were looking for a quick bite to eat. Our hotel recommended this place and we decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise. I ordered the buffalo small pizza and my hubby ordered the one with sausage and onions. Both pizzas came to our table piping hot and delicious. The crust was crispy and thin and the sauce and toppings delicious. I would highly recommend this lovely small place for a delicious mouthwatering pizza.

Pizza dal Pazzo is SUCH a great little place for pizza. Patritzio is so kind: very friendly, gracious, and a joy to be around! Their prices are super reasonable, and the pizzas are amazing. Thin, crisp crust, with just the right amount of toppings. Especially the Bufala...they bring out a basil plant with your pizza, so you can break off some leaves to top your pizza. It doesn 't get much fresher than that! Also, you HAVE to try their Focaccia con Nutella e Mascarpone . It 's a dessert pizza, filled with warm, creamy Nutella and Mascarpone, and topped with powdered sugar and shaved chocolate. Life changing! Overall, a great little place to sit outside and watch a game, eat some yummy pizza, and enjoy good company.

My husband and I arrived at our holiday destination after 9pm and were struggling to find somewhere to find that was still serving food. We were starving as had been travelling since 11am. Thank god for this amazing place. The pizza was tasty and value for money and service was good. The pizza was made fresh so had to wait but was well worth it.
