Ca' Virginia Country House

This restaurant is part of the same complex where we stayed prior to making our final ferry trip to our new home in Kefalonia. When we arrived we found a letter explaining where our room was and that the receptionist would be back at 4 pm. How many places do you know in the UK that would trust guests to check in on their own? After a short walk, we came back to find a lovely lady at reception who was so helpful and friendly. She explained when the restaurant would be open and took us into the various little dining areas. It was like an old converted stone barn just gorgeous. When we went down for dibber at about 1945, we were greeted by a lovely young lady who showed us to the table, showed us the menu apologising that it was in Italian and not English. Why should it be, we were staying in Italy. Both my partner and I had a basic understanding of some of the items, however, we did need Google Translate to help out. The food was amazing. I had a Fred Flintsone sized piece of grilled beef with oven baked potatoes melt in the mouth! We declined dessert, however, did enjoy a nice espresso!

Very good We were staying in the appartments. Enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Kitchen is basic. Airco present. Restaurant is very good!!! Price/ quality very good!!! Domain very nice. Swimming pool ok but could have been cleaned more often. I would advice this place
