Bidrage med feedbackWe've been to the Russian River often, but this was our first time at the Rio Cafe and we now can't wait to return JUST so we can dine there again. My husband has eaten Pastrami sandwiches in every deli in New York City (and dozens between here and there and he claimed that the Pastrami sandwich at the Rio Cafe was the BEST he had ever eaten and then some. (He couldn't stop talking about it over lunch! My grilled cheese was cooked to perfection; I even had the option to add bacon (which I'd NEVER seen on a menu before . Wished I had been able to eat another one, right on the spot. The cafe was full (inside and outside but our service was fast and efficient. We had our food on the table within 10 minutes, and enjoyed both the charming ambience and the OH SO PLEASANT staff who served us. Two thumbs up!
I had to wait (short-staffed, like everywhere), but it was worth it! The proprietor was the epitome of efficiency! I had fried chicken and Mac&Cheese, AND finished with an ice cream cone. The ice cream was absolutely superb!
Attentiveness service. Good food. Gluten-free options on request. Small town ambiance with the river in walking distance.
Cool little place, with the ocean in the backdrop... Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Good service and friendly staff. Had mac and cheese with bacon and a Caesar salad. It was very busy with the heat wave and the ice cream bar in the rear of the restaurant was packed!!! There is also a Jukebox, which was charming and nice! Listened to some Waylon Jennings and a few other classics!
