Mausam Indian Cuisine - Montclair

Everything we had was perfectly seasoned since we requested medium spice level. Our waitress, Happy, was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is under new management, and the decor is beautifully done (one of our favorite aspects of Indian restaurants). We will definitely come back!

The lamb was not tender, and given the price, one would expect a higher quality dish.

Food was ok, expensive for the small portion size. Waitperson really didn't listen to us.

We waited a long time for our food, and despite arriving after us, a large party received their meals before we did. We ordered our dishes with medium heat, but we felt we could have handled spicier options. Unfortunately, the flavors were lacking depth. The aloo gobi seemed like the cauliflower and carrots had been overcooked and simply tossed into the sauce. In the chicken tikka, there was very little meat. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but we likely won't return.
