Bidrage med feedbackIf you want to be on the beach, this place is about as close as you get. Rooms could probably use some updating, but it's hard to beat the location. Breakfast was included, and the service there was good. I try to stay here once a year. It's definitely got an old-school beach hotel vibe.Walkability: Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
I've been going to Montauk for over 50 years. Staying at multiple small hotels in town. This was the first time staying at Royal Atlantic. The person that greeted us at the front desk was unconcerning and unpleasant. It was like he didn't want to be there. When we got to our roomIt was very clean, but it looked like it was from the 80s and much needed of a renovation for the price we were paying.Overall we had a very nice stay.
To say I am beyond disgusted and disappointed is an understatement. My family and I have been staying at the royal Atlantic since I was a child. We always have felt like valued clients of this establishment and always returned because we loved the location and service. Yesterday we arrived to Royal Atlantic and expected to have two rooms reserved for my family and I. When we went to check in we were greeted by a terribly rude and obnoxious woman who had no sense of customer service at all. The amount of entitlement this woman radiated was disgusting. We had reserved two rooms back on November of 2022 (two rooms for two nights for the month of August) On the reservation paper that was filled out by the office and signed by the office it clearly stated that we reserved two rooms and paid for two rooms. When we checked in the woman at the office stated that since we only had one reservation number it means we only reserved one room; even though we paid for two rooms and the reservation formed filled out and signed by the office stated that we paid and reserved two rooms. As a consumer, how are we supposed to be aware that we need two separate reservation numbers for two rooms when the reservation form made by the office has written two rooms? When asking this question the woman at the front desk proceeded to be very nasty and dismissive only repeating “one reservation number, one room”. Maybe explain that policy to all employees before you allowing them to make reservations for customers. The two solutions offered to us was to keep the one room for 7 people for one night since there was nothing available and then the next day we could book a second room but had to pay even more money, even though we already paid for two rooms for two nights. We ended up going to another much cleaner and more respectful hotel that was extremely clean and updated. Bottom line, this establishment has gotten absolutely disgusting and is not worth the money you pay, there is no customer service and no apology for their mistakes. Instead they treat their paying customers with entitlement and disrespect. Please think twice for staying at the establishment.
Do not stay here! Staff is rude. We had a number of things wrong with our room such as no WiFi, broken AC, broken door lock, room completely run down. When we asked the staff to make a formal complaint to the manager they said they didn’t have a managers number and there was no way to file a complaint. Complete disappointment! Restaurant is awful as well
Very expensive for a room that is not updated and not well kept. The Balcony was shaking as well. Better fix it before someone falls. I was concerned about that.
