We got lucky on the parking, because this part of Monrovia is usually busy and crowded with tight parking. This gem of a sushi shop is a hidden jewel. It's very tiny and very reminiscent of the actual Japan like size of smaller spaces and close seating. There is only one chef and one waitress which works for a small place. Anyways, the food is the out of this world and on another level. If you're looking for fresh fish and perfect sashimi/sushi. This is the place you're looking for. We ordered a few starters and some of the specials. The ono fish was super fresh and buttery. We looved the fresh eel roll. The freshness of their seafood is unmatched. This has become our favorite sushi joint from now on. The sweet shrimp was absolutely delectable. The ikura is fresh juicy and popping without being overly salty. Great food, great service! Authentic authentic authentic! The only thing is that it's a very small place, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. On cold days you may need to sit outside but there is a heat lamp.

Sit at the six seat sushi bar and let master sushi chef Tadanari indulge you!This is the kind of place that develops its reputation by word of mouth and time.I had the omakase and a bottleOf sake which was Tadanari’s recommendation.When I sat down I was surrounded by friendly, consistent regulars who even shared sake with me. Become friends with James who is there 4 days a week. He has travelled all over the world. No surprise why he eats here all the time.Service is very attentive and humble. Cant wait to come back!This place will go down as a legendary place and guests will travel from all over LA to make it here. I would recommend reservations in advance.
