Planet Pizza - Monroe

Being from Brooklyn, we know pizza! And we have had a hard time finding a place that is as close as possible to Brooklyn or just great NY pizza in general. Now just to be fair, we have not tried their plain slice as of yet. We have only ordered their Sicilian pizza twice so far. I am pleased with what we had tasted, both times. They also season their dough with garlic, very nice touch. I'd have to say, based on their Sicilian slices, they are comparable to great Sicilians in the city. Their crust is a bit on the thicker side but has a good amount of sauce and cheese to balance it out. Also, even tough its thicker, they cook it properly so you have the crunch on the outside and softer but not super soft inside. Happy about the cheese (good quality used) and the sauce seasoning as well. Happy that this place isn't far from us and will try their other pizzas soon. Hopefully those are just as good.

At 9:15 pm (45 minutes before closing) we ordered a large pie with ricotta as a topping. We received an old, unused slice pie with ricotta on it not even heated up. Nice try guys but you ain't no pizza joint.

Update 7/2/2022: Yesterday 7/1/2022 to eat something while my family and I waited for the fireworks in the city. We placed our order over the phone and went to pick it up. We ordered as follows: a tuna salad package, a sandwich and another sandwich. It took about 35 minutes to make our order, but this is reasonable because when we pick it up, the place was super busy. I enjoyed my tuna pack that I ordered and enjoyed my family what they ordered. will be back soon! I've been going to Planet Pizza since the middle school. Her pizza is amazing, and her packs are also! Even their dinners are good. Even if you eat in food is good. Here recently for the fireworks and got a paprika pizza that was delicious! Your loaded frits are also good. I'll be back to support this local business!

I've been on Planet Pizza for years and they've never been disappointed?? My husband and I ran to catch a show in the movies and decided to have a quick bite here before going. I had a delicious Ceasars salad chicken sluice and a slice. Full content in front of the movies!
