Lucky Star - Monroe

The food was awful. We ended up throwing everything away. The chicken wings appeared old and the rice was dry and overcooked. We all felt sick afterwards. We will definitely not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Lucky Star on Perrineville Road in Monroe, NJ is hands down the top Chinese restaurant in the area! The customer service is outstanding, the food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. We have tried virtually everything on the menu and it has all been exceptional. The flavors are consistently fantastic, and the portion sizes and prices are very reasonable.

I no longer recommend this restaurant. They charge extra for garlic sauce, and even though you ask for a specific amount, they will give you more than you want for free. The vegetables are often overcooked and the overall quality of the food has declined. I will not be returning to this establishment.

Great place love by people in the immediate area. Definitely, you’ll be waiting for a table on the weekend which is a great way to tell whether people like the food.We’ve been going there for over 10 years and although not gourmet Chinese food definitely very good for normal Chinese restaurant. Vegetarian options: They will make to order as well as having quite a few vegetarian dishes Parking: You usually find a spot within 100 feet of the restaurant Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and always appreciated Wheelchair accessibility: In a large drive up mall with a lot of other shopping. Definitely wheelchair accessible.

I am leaving this review because after the 5 yrs I have been coming to here today I was given old rice. I can tell the rice was old and reheated and ju the vegetables was old and discolored. The rice even has an old smell to it. I asked if I can be refunded $2 and was told no because it was apart of the lunch special. This was my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area but now me and my family will have to find another one
