We stopped off on a hot summer morning to get some take-out food. This place has unusual hours, 5:15AM to 2:40PM which makes it an excellent place to eat a substantial breakfast at a time when most cafés haven 't even opened yet. I know very little about Colombian food but what I got today was hearty, uncomplicated, and delicious. I had grilled tilapia which was flaky and mild but well seasoned, I think, mostly with black pepper. The meatballs with white rice were also delicious, but, in future, I will be sure to ask for some extra red sauce. The platanos are also delicious and have no excessive sweetening. I don 't know if the cooking at Fogón Latino represents dishes from all over Colombia (it 's a big country with 52 million people) or reflects the tastes of a single region. Whatever the case may be, this Colombian food offers nothing unexpected to the American foody. On a scale of 1 to 10 for exotic , where one is a cheeseburger and 10 is super hot curried grasshoppers, this tasty food is a 2. Looking forward to trying everything on their menu.

Hopefully this place makes it, area doesn't have much traffic other than ppl passing on the main road it's just off of. Inside is super clean, the staff is really nice and the food is terrific! Can't tell ya the last time that I had chicharron that was that fresh (made to order) and the entire paisa was out of this world. Great little spot, not too far from my house, im really happy that we tried it!
Twice I have Called in advance to place an order and once I arrived for pickup I've been giving stupid excuses as to why they couldn't do my order.
