You can’t beat Baumgartner’s for good beer, good food, and great value. Nostalgic place, friendly and laidback atmosphere, welcoming and warm staff, and the most robust Limburger I’ve had in a longtime. Don’t miss out on this place if you’re within 50 miles. Hell, 100 miles! And, they now offer accommodations. Stayed at Baumies4 in September and I recommend it highly for anyone traveling to or near Monroe. It is spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with high-end appliances and amenities. Chris was attentive and easy to work with, an all-around nice guy. Apartment is ideally situated right on the main square, convenient to everything, directly across from the historic Court House. And of course, just steps away from Baumgartner’s Cheese Store and Tavern. Baumgartner’s alone is reason enough to make a trip to Monroe. Within walking distance of restaurants, some of the key historic sites, restaurants, cafés. Great deal!
