La Esmeralda Authentic Mexican Food

My husband and I live in Groveland so when it 's time to come to town (aka Sonora), we always make it a point to have lunch at La Esmeralda. The food is wonderful and consistently delicious, fresh made and we 've NEVER had a meal that was disappointing. Two thumbs UP!

Good food and service. I felt the staff were kind and one even said hello in my friend's native tongue of Mandarin. She was impressed. The food was good. I got the flautas. They were made with corn tortillas. The meat was tender. I even like the refried beans and I can usually do without those. We did not wait long for our food. Honestly it looks like it did in the 80s, when it was a different taqueria.

We love this place! Delicious, authentic Mexican food! They have a huge menu selection, good prices and great customer service. Even when we are running short on time for lunch, they manage to take our order and serve us quickly! They always check on us while we're eating to make sure everything is okay which we love. They also give each person their own little basket of chips and they have a self serve salsa bar with a nice e selection of salsa...everything is so good!My go to is the chicken flauta plate...you gotta try it. It's delicious! Five stars for these guys, I definitely recommend them. Keep up the great job!
