Big League Burgers & Wings - Moncton

Visited with family on a Saturday in July. It wasn't overly busy and service was pretty speedy. It is a bit of a greasy spoon style burger joint... we got a burger & cheeseburger platter, a hotdog with onion rings and french fries. The burgers were decent eats. Certainly enjoyable. The fries and rings though, holy GREASE. You expect a certain amount of grease but its like these babies were saturated in fat... even for a greasy spoon, this was over the top. Finally, it is overpriced for what you get. $4.99 for a single hot dog... come on, really?

We decided to try this restaurant on New Year's Eve after hearing some good reviews. It wasn't too crowded and we were able to get a table quickly. The French fries were delicious, but the burgers were just okay - the cheese didn't even melt. The soda was cold and they had a wide variety of toppings and sauces for the burgers, which was nice. I might consider going back in the future.

If you want very casual, comfort food, this is the place to go! Kids just love it. Great burgers and wings.

On a whim, I decided to try this restaurant as it is close to home. Ordered a dozen wings. First of all, I thought it was a bit much for wings (actually, there were actually 6 wings cut in half, which I realize is the traditional way of serving them, but I actually believe I read somewhere that if you sell them by number in Canada, you actually have to count the whole wings that are in there, but that is an aside) - more than $1 per wing. This seemed crazy high, because I can still remember when they were 10 cents. Nevertheless, I decided to give them a try. They were disgusting, in a word. They were so greasy from the deep fryer I honestly felt like I was doing oil straight out of the container. I could taste the grease all day.On the up side, they did have a selection of sauces which were OK.Maybe the burgers are better, but I will never know because I will never go back.

This place serves one of the best burgers I've eaten - except for my own. Lots of topping choices as well. Since I'm not a french fry fan I've only stolen a few from my wife, but those were good. I usually get a 6 pack of wings to go with my burger. Their's are excellent and they have about a dozen different dipping sauces for the wings. I always have my happy face on when I leave.
