Restaurante O Parque - Monchique

I called this afternoon and gave our orders. steak medium and thun fish grilled. bread, cake, drinks came as expected. Thirty minutes later, the main thing had not arrived, even though others who sat after us had already eaten. my son remembered the waiter and 10 minutes. after his steak came a little over mediocre, but edible. not yet a thunfish. only after another 10 minutes my thunfish was served. the fish was dry, oversalted and boiled without sauce. I had to ask for mayonaise to be able to eat the potatoes and the little salad. I couldn't eat more than two little mouthpieces of thunfish and almost leave the whole steak. the waiter asked my son who speaks excellent Portuguese when there is a problem and when he said that it was the way the natives like it! the bill still contained the thunfish. we paid and left. I wish I had done more of a damper, but would guess if they were a visitor instead of a more regular one. the employees take little care of their order that they eat together, cook or apologise for mistakes.

We ate here yesterday evening an excellent meal. would recommend it. service was efficient and our waitress was beautiful.

We went here on a recommendation and enjoyed the evening where it’s also popular with the locals. Great atmosphere the night we were there with an important football game on. The service was friendly and the food came quickly. Not a massive menu but some...good choices and the food was tasty.

Basic Portuguese restaurant, good food and cheaper than most places in the opposite very central location.
