Restaurante Abrigo da Serra - Monchique

A popular place for native. very casual and quite simple, but the food and service are both good as the price. we had the piri piri piri huhn to share that was delicious and pleasant.

We went here for a family meal on our way up the mountain. Chicken Piri piri was very good but the salad was very basic. We did feel that we were rushed through and realised why when we came down from the mountain as they...had a huge group of bikers in. The view was amazing, the only downside was that the top bar was right in our eyeline.

Probably the best views you will have when you are eating anywhere on the planet. Food is simple and very tasty. Prices are ridiculously cheap . What more do you want?

We have visited this Tasca Café Cabe Restaurant many times, while on the road from aljezur to monchiqu, either for coffee, a fast snack or lunch. this time we stopped working on a Sunday afternoon. what it was. the menu is typical Portuguese eating from the 'serra' well honest and pretty good all meat that does not correspond to my non-meat eating woman. fortunately, the various courts of the day included 'Llulas-Rekheados', which they no longer see very often due to labor-intensive work. they were fabulous - accompanied by their own sose and handmade chips and on the part (on request) the usual azeitonas, brot, water, half liter local white wine and coffee was about 30 euro. only the job, but intentionally to place that sell the frozen sorts!

Absolutely venerable! we went with the family who were masters there. because they knew my brother-in-law, we stayed almost 45 minutes before someone came to us, although my brother asked several times. When he came to order, it was the worst thing to eat!
