Original Taste Kitchen - Monash

Cant go past the incrdible dumplings and Northern Chinese dishes...Kimni and Mona do an incredible job with their restaurant...they work hard and provide really great service 6 days a week! its well priced and always very consistent and a pleasure to go there. Both BYO and Licensed which is also good.

I have had good takeaway dumplings from here before, but Saturday night was a very different story. Everything we ate was mediocre in the extreme, the service very average, and the fact that someone had been ill on the carpet right next to where we were seated and the mess wasn't cleaned up properly made for fairly unpleasant dining. We don't expect amazing ambience in a cheap and cheerful, but do expect good food..and it wasn't. The couple next to us couldn't eat their chicken entrée as it was raw in parts. Maybe they were just having a bad night, but we're not going back to find out.

We love Original Taste Kitchen - the staff Kommi and Mona just love welcoming people to their simple but delicious restaurant. The various steamed and pan fried dumplings are delicious, in an area where there are not a lot of places that do dumplings. It's not a place to go for a romantic night out but a great neighbourhood favourite where you always get a great welcome and lovely food at cheap prices.

Proud to be the first to review this place - it is new (as far as i gather) but i suspect news will travel fast on this one thanks to the Scoopon.com.au

Looked for a new Chinese place to take some interstate friends (kids in tow) for a casual bite and came across Original. Let me say what a find !!! This
