The Sub(hot italian)was the best thatI've had in the Pittsburgh area since moving here almost7 years ago.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a beautiful rampright in the very front of therestaurant.
Delicious hot subs! I especially like the Italian, Meatball, and Hook and Ladder ones. Lots of flavor! Ordered here numerous times, using both Rapid Rescue online-ordering pick up (no waiting, it will be ready to pick up when they say it will be ready) and also in-person dine in. Always have experienced good, friendly service and a clean restaurant here. Even the restroom is kept clean. The food order is filled correctly and the payment process works smoothly. If you place your order in the store instead of ahead online, you will have to wait a bit, maybe five to eight minutes, while they make up a fresh sandwich for you. It's worth the small wait! Plenty of easy parking available at this location.
We went there to eat and it was 8:25 pm. They close at 9. As soon as we walked in the door the man behind the counter YELLED at us like we were deaf telling us we were to not sit in the dining room for it was closed. This was the first time I've ever eaten at a Firehouse Subs shop so I was trying to figure out the menu and the man glared at me the whole time tapping his fingers on the counter. He never asked us if we wanted chips or drinks. Just took our orders and stormed off. Now I've worked in restaurant business for 20+ years and this is no way to treat customers. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt because you just never know what someone is going through. But this man was absolutely rude. Makes me never want to eat at a firehouse subs again. The guy who made the subs was nice and polite, but the cashier was unbelievably rude and unwanted of our business. From my experience working in a restaurant, you serve your customers up until the time it is to lock the doors same as the customers walking in when you unlock the doors. I mean how did this guy not know we were from corporate? We weren't, but you should treat every customer like they are so. He shouldn't be working in this business or for your company if you want to keep business.
I enjoy some of the menu items but if you order around any lunch or dinner time you can be in for a very very very long wait. Twice in a month I waited 1 hour plus. Order online but she the opposite my sandwich was COLD so they actual made it right then. And 100%?isn't the staffs fault he was busting his but
