Gran Shanghai - Mogán

Visited last year and enjoyed one of the best Chinese meals ever! Sad to say the experience was not repeated this year. Starter, prawn toasts, over cooked and definitely out of a packet. Main course, Chicken with spring onion and garlic...chicken was dark meat and the sauce was just soy sauce, didn't coat thr meat at all. Husband had chicken and black bean sauce...again very underwhelming . It was Sunday night so we wondered if maybe Chinese chefs night off?? Disappointed!

Whenever we visit Puerto Mogan we always book a table on a couple of evenings, the food and service is always excellent, we sometimes do a walk in but this year they couldn’t accommodate us, it was so busy. There is a great choice on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. Well recommended.

My H and I booked here based on reviews and because every night we walked past it was so busy… we assumed it must be good! We booked expecting great things and initially it was good.. shown to our seats very quickly, then our drinks arrived quickly shortly after our shared starter of veggie spring rolls arrived.. they were ok nothing to write home about but decent filo and the chilli sauce served with it was reasonable. But that’s where the positives ended.. We ordered a chicken curry, fried rice and a Chow mein and chips to share and it was simply awful… fried rice wasn’t fried it was boiled rice with an egg thrown in, the noodles were bland and tasteless the chips were like Micro chip and the curry was completely tasteless.. the only thing that made me give 2 stars were the staff who were so nice and very quick to serve .. pity the food didn’t reflect the good service

Located on the walk way so if you are staying at The Cordial or The Radisson you will pass it on your way into town. We knew it was popular so we called in one night on our way past and booked it for later in the week. The food was very good, it is a decent chinese and we will be back next time for sure.

Came with the family for lunch. Fast service, good food and friendly staff. Especially ‘Peking rolls’ were appreciated. There are a few tables to sit at outside but they are often busy. Inside is ok as well. Decor feels Asian and authentic.
