Stop on a frosty day for late lunch. Service was the best ever with warm, helpful, happy waiters who went the extra mile helped me the flight of the stairs. (lightly disabled) My husband had supplies and salads and I had the simple...divine chicken pancakes with tomatoes and paprika sauce, followed by apple strudel and cream. The ambience was warm and friendly, the service was more than excellent. an ideal stop on an icy day. We stayed there in summer and sat on the terrace with the same high quality food and service.

Very good team, helpful and nice people! Wonderful soups! We drove with three children in heavy rain and the owner and waiter gave us dry clothes and delievered us with cars back to our starting point. Thank you for your help!... Not to mention that the food was perfect!

At the beginning we were happy to find a pretty restaurant in the middle of the very pretty city of Rust. The prices are acceptable. We received the drinks soon and ordered the food. Then we waited and waited... Ahter a half an hour we...received the salad for the noodle. We thought the food will arrive very soon. What a mistake! After 40 minutes I tried to ask the waiter about the food but he didn 't hear me really but ran beside our table away. Meanwhile the army of mosquitoes attacked us. Okay, the mosquitoes are not the fault of the restaurant but they didn 't try to make anything against them. We fighted against the mosquitoes and waited for the food. It wasn 't really romantic. After more than an hour we received the food and the waiter murmured some sorry . Anyhow the Wienerschnitzel the salad and the noodle were delicious. After the dinner we left the restaurant ASAP. We were very disappointed.

Excellent Austrian fare. I had the Wiener Schnitzel with some exceptional spaetzle… with a Grüner Veltliner that was superb: I ordered six bottles to take home with me. Smiling service.

Although Rust is a tiny place, this restaurant is situated in the center surrounded by the lovely old buildings. Small outside terrace with dining rooms inside and in the Keller . Small but good menu, reasonable prices considering it 's a tourist attraction and prompt service. Local...fish from the lake (zander pike) is a speciality.
